The robotics groups and its PI Andreas Birk have a long standing track record in Robotics & Education, i.e., the educational aspects within robotics as well as using robotics for CS and STEM education in general. Recent examples include the following projects , which where supported by the Jacobs Foundation within the B3 framework:

- Digital Contingencies – Prospects and Limitations of Technology in Digital Humanities
- Hands-On 4.0: Individualized Applied Education in the Digitalization Age
Other activities include the participation with student teams in robotics competitions and the use of robots in K12 education.
